dotAdmin moves to Rackspace

Over the last few weeks, dotAdmin has been migrating all of our client sites to our new servers in Rackspace's Heathrow data centre.

The decision was taken in order that we could continue to offer our clients the highests standards of hosting, using industry standard equipment, accompanied with high levels of network uptime and security.

About Our New Hosting

Rackspace is a well established hosting company, with a reputation which is second to none. In addition to providing hosting for dotAdmin, Rackspace provides hosting solutions for companies such as Renault, Nikon and Vue Entertainment. they also provide hosting servers for the British Army and high traffic websites such as theregister.com.

Our AMD Opteron powered servers, with redundant hot-swappable SCSI 160 RAID drives are housed in Rackspace's Heathrow datacentre. This data center has N+1 redundant environmental controls, uninterruptible conditioned powered systems (backed up by onsite generators), and fully certified network and hardware engineers available onsite at all times. With fully redundant systems at every level, and technicians on standby, we have done everything in our power to ensure that nothing can interrupt the continued smooth operation of dotAdmin websites.

Finally, our servers are protected by a firewall, and are continually monitored 24/7 365 days a year by a dedicated uptime monitoring team at Rackspace. In the event of a service outage, engineers will begin investigating the situation immediately.
